Fitness Philosophy
I am an Active Lifestyle Ambassador. I use this influence to teach, coach & train my clients to live more active, full & fun lives. How do I do this? I take clients who are ready for change and together we create lifestyle programming specific to their needs. Then over the course of our relationship, we make adjustments based on circumstances, but remaining true to our new principles. In simpler terms, you’ll look, move & perform better. You’ll learn how to eat for performance and composition changes. You’ll understand your body better and what it needs if it feels off. Your end result will be a sexier body, an increased understanding of health & fitness and you wil be pound for pound stronger than ever. And if you play sports, you’ll set new PRs (personal records). I’m a people person. I love family, friends & meeting new people. I enjoy learning and doing my best. I’ve taken all of my training prior to and during that time and use it locally & soon to be nationally to provide interesting, challenging & results oriented programs. My career is my vehicle to give back & serve. I’ve played sports since T-ball, phys ed. was my favorite subject; I received my first weight set for Christmas after getting knocked around during freshmen basketball. After multiple ankle sprains I chose to get an athletic training education to fix other peoples injuries. While learning AT, I realized why not prevent injuries before they happen so I got into performance training. After working in pro sports, I realized the lifestyle was not for me and tried different fields (college, high school, private & rehab). Finally I moved to Boston & “tried” personal training. It was a good fit. It let me meet knew people who were different from me. PT provided a new challenge in that I needed to learn about body transformations and working with non-athletes if I wanted to work with “real people”. Sports, games & exercise are fun to me and I choose to share my passion with other people.

Mike Alves is the owner and founder of Athletes by Alves a performance training company and a co-founder of Change Your Body Boot Camps. He is a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainers Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As a coach and trainer he has helped hundreds of people return to health, improve their shape and achieve personal bests through performance training. Mike offers a variety of services to his clientele like: Consulting, workshops, private and public coaching, private and semi-private training, online training, phone coaching, boot camps, mentoring and fundraisers. And with his Change Your Body Challenge, Fat Loss Workout Manual he has now created his first e-book.
