5 Less Than Obvious Reasons You're Stalling

You're not making gains anymore and you can't figure out why. If it's not the obvious reasons like not hitting your workouts and/or shoddy nutrition, then it could be some of these less obvious factors.

5 Less Than Obvious Reasons You're Stalling

1. Your nutrition might be healthy, but may not be fueling your goal. If you're trying to build muscle and you're short on protein, all the lifting in the world won't grow your muscles. By the same token, if you're a runner then make sure you have enough carbs to fuel your runs.

2. You're not doing the best exercises or training techniques to achieve your goal. There are standard basics and techniques that are tried and true. Make sure you're doing them, and doing them well.

3. You're not pushing yourself to progress. If you use same amount of weight for too long, you'll stay the same.

4. Your form is off. Bad form takes the focus off the muscles you're trying to work and could place strain in the wrong areas giving you less than stellar results and could set you up for injury.

5. You're worried what people think. You may be nervous to try new moves, machines or weights because you're afraid you'll look foolish but unless you try new things, you'll never progress. Ask, and do. This is also true of the guys in the weight room who think they have to lift heavy to impress, when their poor form is less than impressive. Focus on spot on form to form the the body you want.
