Trainer DO's
By: The SmashFit Team
Smashfit is building its reputation on excellence. We want our clients to have
the best possible experience by matching them with you, the most knowledgeable
trainer for their need. But along with impeccable knowledge comes superb
customer service and professionalism. Please read and follow our TRAINER DO's.
Ask for a full medical
history. First and foremost, is our client's safety. If you don't have
expertise in a client's particular health issue, then you should advise them to
seek another trainer.
Conduct a fitness
test. Before you begin training your new client, you should always
test your client's strength and agility. It's not wise to rely on your client's
opinion of their fitness.
Be on time. Don't be a
flake.
Call if need to cancel or if you are
running late. Again, don't be a flake.
Keep your certifications
current. Smashfit does periodical certification checks. This not only
protects our clients but it also protects you, our valued trainers, from
"impostors".
Keep your
cell phone tucked away during your training session. No-one likes the
distraction of listening to someone else's phone conversation, especially on
their dime. Please be respectful.
Have a contract. There's no
better way to seal the deal than with a signed contract. It doesn't have to be
fancy, but it should include your name (or the name of your company), your
client's name, an hourly rate, the number of agreed upon sessions, the total
amount, and the date the amount is due. A signature from both parties protects
both parties.
